We are very pleased that there will be a display in Malvern Library to acknowledge Refugee Week this year.
Refugee Week is an annual UK-wide event. It consists of a programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary
This year, the theme is ‘welcome’. This is especially appropriate for us in Worcestershire as we prepare to welcome some Syrian refugee families.
During the week there will be a display of children’s books which tell stories relating to refugee issues as well as some information regarding the refugee situation.
